We are hosting three fantastic computer courses for children this summer at On The Brook. As parents with a computer-keen 11 year old we wanted to find somewhere she could learn the skills to allow her to do, and create more. The only courses we could find were in Bristol, or even further afield so we decided to create our own. We found a local, brilliant teacher, Tom Donovan, who has experience teaching coding and animation to children in educational settings. Tom has full DBS clearance to work with children (full bio and photo below)
The courses will be held in our beautiful function room. Healthy drinks and food will be served from our restaurant.
Limited participant numbers to allow one-to-one tuition as well as group work.
August 14th - 16th Little bytes coding course for younger children (7 - 10 year olds)

Participants will learn how to use and play with the Scratch platform before programming their own game.
Price: £75.00 Excludes lunch
Courses start 9am sharp and end 12pm.

I’m Tom, currently a second-year student at the University of Gloucestershire. I do all kinds of animation there, from 2D digital to 3D. I love to watch animated films, and animated series such as Adventure Time; and in my free time I usually work on illustrations and short animations.
